Next week is National Classics Week (April 19-25) - a time not only  to celebrate the birth of wonderful Rome, but also a time to have fun with  other JCLers and give back to the community.     Here are some ideas to help you celebrate and give back this week:  Sunday: While the Lighthouse at Alexandria provided light, your local chapter can conserve it! On Sunday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., try to leave your lights off and use daylight to conserve energy. Every student draws a  name and writes 3 compliments about that person. At the end of the day  or week, take turns reading the compliments  at a club meeting at school.&nbsp;</li><li style=""><span style=""><span style="">Tuesday</span></span>:  Rome's birthday! Bring Coin Wars to your school! Ask permission to pie  club officers - or even teachers if it is allowed and they are willing -  using the same system that we use at Forum!  Raise money for a charity of your choice.</li><li style=""><span style=""><span style="">Wednesday</span></span>:  In honor of the Hanging Gardens, pick up trash around your school to  benefit the environment. With permission, you could plant a school  garden!</li><li style=""><span style=""><span style="">Thursday</span></span>:  Start at the bottom of the "Pyramid," and focus on younger Latin  students - they are our future! They brought in supplies such as paper, markers, ribbon, and glitter to make over 150 cards to give to the elderly.
